This series of works were created for my penultimate-year coursework. They are images that overlap between reality and memories, they exist in a space where past, present, and future are compressed into one plane. This was achieved through double exposures and adjustments in photoshop.
The subjects of these works all belong to different periods of my time here on Earth. Some have already faded out of existence due to age, natural disasters, migration, etc. The overlapping of all these points in time are representations of dreams that reconstruct fragmented memories in a non-linear way. This is why the human body dominates and encroaches on the natural scene: a reminder that this dreamscape is simply an emulsion of realities that once were.
These images were projected on a wall at 2-3 meters high for my coursework presentation. They're meant to be overwhelming as if the dreams that are bound within the frame of a photograph nevertheless loom over us in the real world like an elongated shadow.
